There’s something special about a wedding that feels completely personal, and this beautiful celebration at La Posada de Santa Fe was exactly that.
Traveling from Chicago to celebrate in Santa Fe, our couple chose New Mexico because it’s where the bride is from and wanted to share one of her favorite places with family and friends. Their day began with a traditional Catholic ceremony at the historic St. Francis Cathedral Basilica, followed by a vibrant reception at La Posada. The day was filled with beautiful shades of sage green and pink, complemented by colorful florals that felt right at home against the backdrop of Santa Fe’s adobe architecture and gardens. One of the most meaningful parts of the day was the incorporation of the groom’s Irish heritage through a traditional handfasting ceremony. Guests were later treated to the sound of bagpipes played by one of the groomsmen, adding another personal touch to the celebration.
The couple also created an unforgettable experience for their guests with thoughtful details throughout the evening. A live watercolor portrait artist painted custom keepsakes, while a tequila donkey and plenty of margaritas kept the party going and guests smiling all night long. As the sun began to set, family and friends gathered under a twinkle light tent to celebrate a couple whose wedding reflected exactly who they are.
