When I called Rebecca to go over her timeline for her wedding, I could hear the fear in her voice. The fear that they would have to postpone their special day again thanks to COVID, or if they decided to have their wedding, the fear that her family and friends wouldn’t be able to attend. The restrictions in Bernalillo in April were still at 5 or less for gatherings and we had no idea if things were going to open up. Rebecca couldn’t imagine waiting another year to marry the love of her life, so when the governor did finally announced the entire state was going turquoise, I instantly thought of Rebecca and how happy she must have been!
All of our postponed 2020 weddings taking place this year have seriously been so special to us, and so bittersweet. Seeing our couples finally say I DO after waiting so long. Finally hearing the cupid shuffle for the first time in over a year. ( I must admit I welled up with tears, dramatic I know.) Everyone being able to hug and dance and celebrate. It just makes what we do feel that much more special.
Rebecca’s day was still perfectly intimate, and she, Nathan and their guests had the BEST TIME. They all tore up the dance floor, sipped champagne and ate yummy cake, shed a tear during their vows and just relished in the joy of this beautiful wedding finally taking place.
Thank you for choosing us Rebecca and Nathan, we are so happy for you and it was well worth the wait.
