Ruthie and Joel chose to have an intimate winter wedding centered around each other and their loved ones at the beautiful Los Poblanos. The day began at dawn, as the sun rose over the Sandias and shined its face down upon the lavender fields. The bridal suite was calm and relaxed as Ruthie got her hair and makeup done and sipped her Starbucks. As we photographed her beautiful details, from her grandmothers borrowed earrings, a watercolored invitation suite to the most jaw dropping long sleeved gown you’ve ever seen, a little orange barn kitty decided he was going to be a part of the big day. He photobombed just about every part of the wedding day so you will have to check out the photos to see all his appearances.
After the sweetest first look between Ruthie and Joel we were joined by the bridal party including their son Tristan. Although he was only 4, he just beamed with joy as he walked his mom down the aisle to greet his dad. These three have such a special relationship it just melted my heart capturing them. Of course the orange kitty stopped by again during pictures and this kept Tristan quite entertained as he chased the cat through the bushes.
Ruthie wore her hair swept back in a romantic braided updo that showed off the buttons down the back of her gown. The beading was exquisite and the soft champagne blush color was just perfect for a winter wedding. She held a bouquet of roses, orchards and hydrangeas, which looked stunning against the trendsetting bridesmaid dresses of navy velvet.
Eucalyptus and candles decorated the tables setting a romantic mood for the reception as guest enjoyed their family style meals and gushed over their love for the newlyweds.
The day ended with a streamer exit as guest bid farewell to the new Mr. and Mrs.
We truly loved that this wedding had so many beautiful details, that it was a unique morning brunch wedding, and that it was at our favorite venue. However nothing could trump the love that was felt throughout the day. Congrats Ruthie + Joel and of course Tristan! We wish you many years of happiness together!
