Bobbi and Jose are the high school sweethearts every sixteen year old girl dreamed of being: they were voted Prom King and Queen, moved in together after graduation, and became engaged in beautiful Mexico. To make it even more romantic, they began dating on Valentine’s Day, which is the reason behind the gorgeous pop of pinks and reds in their details.
For their day they requested a black tie dress code, and included a ton of fun, intimate touches. The wedding took place at the beautiful Hacienda Dona Andrea, on top of a mountain with the most stunning of views. Bobbi’s cousin came in from California and did all of the decor, design, and planning, while also creating the custom arch, which we are living for! The shape, the flowers, the uniqueness… The Maura Jane office is obsessed with it! Furthermore, her cousin’s partner was also the officiant for the ceremony. Our favorite detail were the flower grandmas. Yeah, you read that correctly: flower grandmas. We couldn’t— and really still can’t— get over how absolutely adorable they are, and we are crossing our fingers hoping that it catches on with more brides! Beyond the cuteness factor, it held a layer of significance to the couple, as their grandmas are incredibly important to both of them.
Though the weather was not very cooperative and proceeded to rain most of the day, Bobbi and Jose still remained optimistic and joyful, and we love how the pictures of them doing their first dance in the soft drizzle came out! We wish these two nothing but the best.
