When Sara and Eric were in high school, they happened to both be involved in Skills USA and ended up attending the same conference for the organization. After a long day at the conference, a dance was held. Sara was shy and not a fan of dancing, so when Eric asked her to dance with him, she politely declined. However, later into the evening and when Eric had built up the courage to ask her another time to dance with him, she said yes!

The couple then went on to date for six years, before planning a trip to Italy to celebrate their anniversary. In Florence, they visited the Plaza Michaelangelo, and as the sun was painting the sky and bathing the city in its sunset hues, he got down on one knee. And once again, she said yes!

The ceremony itself took place under the stunning arch of greenery at Hotel Albuquerque. Her dress, designed by Justin Alexander, was so flowy and whimsical— we absolutely loved tossing it for pictures! For the Love of Flowers did her bouquet, and we were in awe of the unique dusty-mauve color of the roses!

Sara and Eric made sure to include sweet touches in their reception, like holding the reception at the hotel where they first met: the Crowne Plaza. Another adorable detail was the wedding favors, as they were all little honey sticks with honey combs, the significance tying into the fact that “Honey Bee” by Blake Shelton was one of their favorite songs when they began dating. At the end, the couple did an intimate sparkler exit with only their bridal party, which made for lots of laughs and photo-ops. To top everything off, Sara’s grandfather sang for everyone— and he was amazing! More and more couples made their way to the dance floor whilst he was performing, and it definitely was a memorable experience that set this wedding apart from the rest!
