Sarah and Brandon met in high school and while they did date, they went their separate ways upon graduation. Sarah wanted to be able to travel and go to school and Brandon let her know he was there for her and loved her. Years later, they reconnected again and began dating. Brandon knew Sarah was the one he wanted to marry. And after an amazing proposal in Las Vegas, the rest as they say, is history!
The couple began planning their wedding at Old Town’s Hotel Albuquerque, where Sarah currently works. They opted for an elegant black tie wedding with touches of 1920s glam. We loved everything from the stylish black bridesmaid dresses to the adorable feathers they wore in their hair. It was the perfect nod to the roaring 20s. The ballroom was decorated in black and gold with tall eiffel tower vases full of feathers and orchids. We loved that all the family members were dressed to the nines in their tuxes and beaded gowns.
Not only was the wedding incredibly decorated, but it also had so many sentimental touches as well. Sarah walked down the aisle with her mom, but she made sure to have a charm with her dad’s picture on it tied to her bouquet, so he could walk her down the aisle as well. During the reception, guests were surprised when Sarah danced with all her father’s closest friends, who also were the pallbearers at his funeral. There seriously wasn’t a dry eye in the house as they each took turns dancing with the sweet bride. Even we had trouble photographing it and holding it together.
It was a beautiful evening and we are so honored that Sarah and Brandon chose us to capture it. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
