Back in early winter, we got The Itch... which only means one thing: a styled shoot was imminent! Maura put Hannah in charge of planning a more alternative session— something a little different for us— but keeping it in the MJP vein by making sure it still had strong hints of romantic femininity. With the idea brewing, it was time to make the mood board and start reaching out to vendors.
We’ve been wanting to work with Danessa of Black Bow Events for quite a bit now, so naturally she was one of the first vendors we emailed. With her on board for coordination and design, everything started to really come together! Jaw-dropping florals were a must, so we soon got Floral Elegance on board, along with Figs and Honey Cake Co. for the incredible cake, and Genica Lee for hair and makeup. Danessa upped the game by getting Wall of Enchantment involved for a neon sign, and she was even able to find a classic car! The absolutely amazing leather jacket was by Wild Rose Creative, and we went out on a limb by contacting a Colorado vendor whom we’d never worked with for all of our paper goods… and boy, did Rocky Mountain Handmade Invites deliver! Our models were Amberley and Rise, a couple we immediately knew that we needed to ask to participate, as they fit the vibe perfectly. With Terese Rose Designs making the dress, we were set!
After scouting for cool murals in downtown Albuquerque, we planned a date, and the epic shoot commenced! Scroll to see some of our favorites from this edgy shoot!
