Nicole and Joby have had a rough go at wedding planning… Lately, all our couples have, but these two have really been through the ringer! They contacted us back in 2018 regarding their upcoming 2019 wedding— but when they discovered their family would be growing (see below for their adorable daughter, and click here for her winter wonderland maternity session), they decided to push their wedding back to: *dramatic music plays* 2020… And we all know how that went down.
So a date was set for 2021! After moving venues from Old Town Farm to La Fonda, this pair didn’t want to wait any longer, and decided to host an intimate wedding at Nicole’s brother and sister-in-law’s lovely home. (Shoutout to the wonderful Monique and TJ, who’s beautiful Hotel Albuquerque wedding you can view here, along with this southwestern-whimsical styled shoot they modeled for us for!)
We arrived and were immediately blown away by all of the details, along with how stunning the home was set up! We knew from the start that Nicole had excellent taste and that her details would be such a pleasure to document… but the elegant, simple theme of all white with organic pops of green had us dying. Furthermore, this theme matched the style of the home, which made shooting everything almost look like a studio session styled shoot!
The ceremony took place in the backyard, and Joby’s face when he saw Nicole was completely in line for how drop-dead gorgeous she looked. While their immediate family and closest friends gathered in attendance, Nicole and Joby exchanged their sweet vows and sealed the deal with a kiss. The reception was more like a family dinner, and the toasts were more just an exchange of fun and hilarious stories about the couple— we loved the intimate vibe!
As the family danced on the patio, we stole Nicole and Joby away for sunset shots… and we just can’t wait for you to see all of their couple’s portraits! We’re still dying over them!
There aren’t words for how thankful we are for couples like these: who, no matter what happens, keep us involved in the process and include us in the last minute COVID-style micro-wedding, and who are our absolute biggest supporters! After all, we wouldn’t have Nicole and Joby without Monique and TJ, and we wouldn’t have word of mouth advertisement (the best kind!) without clients like these.
Congratulations, you two, and we wish you both the absolute best in the years to come!
