Romantic La Fonda Santa Fe Wedding | Hannah + Derrick

Hannah and Derrick were married a year ago in a private ceremony on their favorite hiking trail in the Sandia mountains. They had planned a big wedding in Santa Fe, but of course their plans were put on hold when the pandemic took over our country. They decided they didn’t want to spend another day not married and planned to postpone the party but not their vows to each other. See their intimate elopement HERE.

Here we are, a year later, and Hannah and Derrick finally get to have the beautiful big wedding of their dreams. We just loved Hannah’s details that matched the gorgeous aquamarine ring Derrick proposed to her with so beautifully. She carried a bouquet of anemones and roses with little pops of dusty blue thistle to tie in the color scheme. Her bridesmaids wore mismatched gowns of blue that created a beautiful ombre effect when paired with Derricks groomsmen. While they read their vows overlooking the cathedral and downtown Santa Fe, not a dry eye was left in the house, (including our own.) They were then joined by a mariachi band to march the couple around the plaza. Their bridal party danced and cheered as every tourist around pulled out their cell phones to capture the excitement.

Lastly, at the reception, guests sipped margaritas and enjoyed crème brûlée while Hannah’s brother performed an amazing juggling act. So fun!

Hannah and Derrick made us feel more like guests than hired photographers. This couple is so kind and giving and I feel so lucky to have been a part of their journey for 3 years. We joked that they would call us for their next vow renewal as they danced through sparklers at the end of the night. Congratulations to these two high school sweethearts. We adore you both and are so happy for you!
