These two cuties met in high school while playing soccer and remained friends until they graduated. Once they had gone to college, they realized how they felt for each other, and during their sophomore year, he Israel transferred to Sophie’s school so that they could be together… and eight years later, here we are!
To propose, they went to the Madison, Wisconsin farmer’s market, which surrounds the capital building every Saturday and is one of their favorite things to go to together! After buying her a fresh bouquet of flowers, they grabbed a few more goodies and decided to picnic at a nearby lake. They took a romantic walk around the perimeter of the lake where they enjoyed the beautiful scenery before Israel popped the question!
When their big day finally arrived, they were surrounded by their family and closest friends to celebrate their love, even having a close friend officiate their ceremony (she’s included in some of the bridal party pictures! We loved that she even had a dress in their colors!) Her bouquet was comprised of mums (so autumn!!), roses, eucalyptus, and plenty more gorgeousness. (Don’t take our word for it, scroll to see for yourself!) The draping over their arch made for a picturesque backdrop against the Sandias, and the flower girls were just too cute.
The land surrounding the area had mountains to almost every side (amazing!), and there were plenty of chamisa to pose the sweet couple by for fall photos with a girly touch! The best detail of the day though? The dessert bar! Scroll to see the incredible layout of churros, red chile caramel popcorn, cupcakes WITH MACARONS, and so much more!
These two were such a pleasure to work with, and we wish them years upon years of happiness!
