Valerie and Tim met when she played soccer with his sister in middle school. Their families would spend time together when traveling for club soccer, and Valerie remembers him always playing with her younger brother. While they knew each other, that’s not where their story began, as they never really talked. Speed through the next 12 years though, and Tim decided to reach out through Instagram. After asking her out, he picked her up and they went on their first date in May of 2018. By July 4th, he decided it was time to take her on a trip and introduce her to his friends, and that evening he made it official by asking her to be his girlfriend!
For her birthday in October of 2020, Tim took her to Los Poblanos. They stopped for a glass of wine at Casa Rodena on the way there, and Tim chugged his drink in a rush. She didn’t think anything of it at the time, but looking back, he claimed it’s because he wanted to hurry and check in so he could propose before dinner! After arriving and stopping by their room, they walked the beautiful grounds of LP, eventually coming to the gardens. Since there was a small crowd, he wanted to wait until they had it to themselves. Continuing to walk, she was in front of him, and she looked at the gorgeous space they were passing through and said, “This must be where people get married here!” He seized the moment and asked, “Well, would you want to marry me?” She thought he was joking and agreed with a laugh, but upon turning around, she realized he was on one knee and was really truly asking!
We loved their olive and charcoal colors, with accents of champagne gold. So elegant and classic! We also loved her beautiful bouquet, but no details of the day could compete with how stunning and radiant Valerie looked!
When asked to tell us a special detail about their day, she said, “I get to marry my best friend and love of my life! The first day to the rest of our lives!” So sweet!! Not to exaggerate, but we’re melting… That’s the most adorable answer to that question we’ve gotten so far!
Valerie and Tim, thank you for giving us the honor of capturing your day, and we wish you all the best in the years to come!
