An Ethereal Ghost Ranch Wedding in the Spring | Alanna + Troy

Last Saturday, we had the honor of capturing one of the most epic venues in New Mexico… along with one of the most amazing couples! We weren’t at all surprised that Alanna and Troy emphasized their desire for pictures that truly captured the landscape. The variety of breathtaking backdrops was almost overwhelming, but it was every wedding photographer’s dream!

We met this couple just last week for their engagement session, and we couldn’t wait for their big day to arrive! They were giggly, affectionate, hilarious, and such a pleasure to photograph! We knew their wedding would be so fun, and that it would be a breeze to document their love story!

They had an intimate ceremony at Ghost Ranch’s Casa Del Sol, where the canyons loomed behind the guests and misty blue mountains stretched beyond the couple. Instead of exchanging rings, Alanna and Troy did a rope ceremony, binding their hands and lives to each other in front of their closest friends and family. When it came time for the vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd… Hannah’s included! Their words were threaded with a heartfelt appreciation for their partner, and a deep love and joy radiated from them as they spoke — it was hard not to cry.

They finished off the night with dancing and desserts, as all great nights should end! There were no speakers for toasts, rather a microphone was passed to those who wanted to say something. It was beyond evident that these two are so well-loved and have made such an impact in so many people’s lives, We are so lucky we got to be a part of their story!
