Bre + Tyrell | Elena Gallegos Wedding at Sunset | Albuquerque Wedding Photographers

While Breana was a sophomore in high school, she unknowingly met her future husband. Tyrell was a junior, and it was love at first sight. Years down the road, he proposed with a stunning black sapphire ring on a private balcony at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, and Bre still gets goosebumps thinking about it! They currently live in Wyoming but chose New Mexico for their special day, as she has family in Albuquerque.

This adventurous couple loves anything outdoors, so it made sense that they chose the Elena Gallegos Open Space for their ceremony location. Their colors were turquoise and mustard, which mirrored their incredibly colorful engagement session (which you can view here). The theme also included black and grey, the former being her favorite color, which was tied in via the bridesmaids’ dresses, Bre’s nails and ring, and also reception decor. Her unique and beautiful bouquet was made of sunflowers and succulents, with accents of purple thistles and coral roses. For the reception, Bre donned a matching flower crown.

But the special details didn’t end there! Being animal lovers and advocates for animal welfare, they incorporated their lifestyle into their wedding day by serving vegetarian meals during dinner and having vegan donuts for dessert! Being as it was an October wedding, pumpkins were (of course!) also added to their details. The reception decor included a wall of fairy lights, which we absolutely loved! The resulting bokeh made all of the dancing photos glowy and fun! Lastly, the couple also made sure to get pictures of their matching anchor tattoos.
