Simply Elegant La Posada Wedding in Santa Fe | Alyssa + Cole

Alyssa and Cole met on their first day of work at the Albuquerque District Attorney’s Office. She took the seat in front of him and “immediately swooned over the young, handsome attorney.” As a sign-in sheet was passed around the room, he fumbled for his pen and Alyssa generously grabbed her own, hoping to catch his attention. While love wouldn’t bloom between them for some time, they enjoyed each other’s company at numerous cocktail hours with friends and various other adventures, and eventually it became so much more.

A few years later, on June 28th of 2020, they took their recently adopted German Shepherd puppy (adorable!) on a walk for her first hike up the Sandia Mountains. Since it was a scorching day, both Alyssa and Myka (their furbaby) were ready to turn back after about 30 minutes of climbing the La Luz trail. Cole, however, insisted they keep going and only let them all rest when they reached a quiet, bouldered area. As they sat on one of the large rocks, Cole brought up their relationship and future plans… which made Alyssa wonder, “Where is this going???” Her question was soon answered: all of a sudden, he was on one knee in front of her!Their beautiful wedding day took place at La Posada and it was just so simply elegant. The linen tent was draped with beautiful twinkle lights, with roses and garland placed everywhere you turned. Perhaps our favorite touch were the custom favors given by Alyssa’s parents. Hot sauce made with chile from their farm and cute custom caricatures of the couple on the front. Guests danced the night away and loved the surprise of our favorite tequila donkey, Rosita, who attended the reception and brought everyone Patron.

We’re so happy to have gotten to know this couple! Alyssa was absolutely the sweetest bride ever, often countering our questions of “What can we help with?” by asking us “What can I help you with?” Our response? “Nothing! It’s your wedding day!” Haha. We wish these two so much happiness and success, and are so honored to have been chosen to shoot their big day.
