Behind the Lens | Maura Jane Photography Team 2021 Wrap Up

As you can see from the photos below… it takes a lot for us to look this good!

Each year, we love to share our behind the scenes photos. Every wedding from January to December requires test shots, and our favorite part about that is coming up with new poses, making funny faces, and overall just having a great time… all so we can share the hilarious results with our followers and clients!

But before we get to the good stuff, we’d also like to share all the other hats we wear throughout the day that goes beyond “photographer,” and they include (but are not limited to):

Invitation and bouquet stylers…

Dress and veil fluffers, fixers, and bustlers…

Boutonniere pinners…

Cut-the-cake instructors…

Flower girl wranglers…

Last minute hair stylists…

Professional animal petters…

Imitators of the wind for veil and dress tosses…

Legend has it… Sarah’s still running.

Occasionally “kidnappers” of videographers…

And holders of all the things.

(Hannah is still looking for a surgeon to give her more arms, please contact us if you know of the person for the job thank you.)

Now for what you’ve been waiting for…

We’ve been honing our dance moves, chomping on flashes, and sitting with cut-out guests (we’ve included some photos from last year since 2020 DIDN’T EXIST)… but mostly, Hannah’s been wearing this dress:

But word on the street is… once in a blue moon, she’ll wear it in green:

But most importantly: WE. LOVE. OUR. CLIENTS! Every single MJP client is an absolute joy to work with, and we love keeping relationships with them even when the wedding day has come and gone! One of our favorite things? Running into past clients at a current client’s big day! We always make sure to grab a photo and document the occasion!

Thank you so much to our clients— our absolute biggest supporters— and know that you make everything we do beyond worth it! Our hearts are just so full, and we look forward to another year of making new friends and meeting the best people. You’re sweet, you’re sassy, you’re everything that motivates us to keep doing what we do.
