A Rooftop Wedding at La Fonda in the Heart of Santa Fe | Stephanie + Georges

When Stephanie and Georges first reached out about their wedding, we knew their day was going to be incredibly meaningful. The two live on the East Coast now, where they met, but when it came to planning their celebration, they chose to return to Stephanie’s home state of New Mexico. They couldn’t have picked a better venue than La Fonda on the Plaza, with its rooftop terrace overlooking downtown Santa Fe and the beautiful cathedral standing tall in the background.

Stephanie looked stunning in her simple, elegant gown, with her hair swept back into a chic bun. The style reflected the tone of the day…classic and refined, yet relaxed, with the focus always on what mattered most: celebrating with their closest family and friends.

The ceremony was timeless and elegant. The rooftop setting created a perfect balance of city charm and Southwestern beauty, with colorful florals lining the space. The vibrant arrangements mirrored the adobe tones of Santa Fe’s architecture and the warm desert palette that makes this place so unique.

The reception design was the perfect blend of whimsy and elegance. Silver Stem Floral created stunning florals bursting with vibrant color, which added a beautiful, playful contrast to Stephanie’s minimalist bridal style. The pops of color felt so lively and brought the whole space to life. Each table was adorned with papel picado table numbers, adding a nod to tradition and an extra layer of charm to the celebration. The cake was just as beautiful… delicate, elegant, and almost too pretty to cut into.

Once the reception began, the energy was unstoppable. With The Mango Cakes providing live music, the dance floor never had an empty moment. Guests filled the evening with laughter, dancing, and joy, truly embodying the spirit of celebration.

Photographing Stephanie and Georges’ wedding was such an honor.
