Erin and Scott’s autumn wedding at Bishop’s Lodge was the perfect reminder that a little rain can’t dampen a whole lot of love. The day may have been gray and raining, but from start to finish, it was filled with warmth, laughter, and the kind of joy that only two people this fun and genuine could bring.
Erin was truly a vision. She is radiant, confident, and the type of person everyone instantly adores. Her A-line gown paired with a lace bridal jacket featuring long sleeves and a high neckline gave her a regal, timeless look with a touch of modern flair. She was an absolute vibe, so elegant yet effortlessly cool. When it came to her first look with her dad, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. It was one of those moments that stopped everyone in their tracks and had her bridesmaids tipping over like teapots to avoid ruining their beautiful makeup. His emotional reaction said everything about their relationship, and it was impossible not to tear up behind the camera.
The color palette brought such a unique twist to the season. It was full of summer tones of blush, peach, lilac, light blue, coral, fuchsia, and yellow mixed beautifully with the golden hues of fall. It felt like two seasons blending in perfect harmony. And when the rain failed to stop just as the ceremony started? No one skipped a beat. Guests opened their clear umbrellas, embraced the moment, and surrounded Erin and Scott as they exchanged heartfelt vows. It was romantic, intimate, and utterly beautiful.
Once the ceremony commenced, guests made their way to cocktail hour where it was filled with laughter and clinking glasses, as guests gathered around the stunning lounge setups by Darling Details. The cozy seating and elegant design added such a charming touch to the evening, creating the perfect space to relax and mingle.
With the weather as gloomy as it was, the reception had to be moved indoors where it transformed into a scene straight out of a storybook. The glow of the fireplace, the candlelight, and the lush summer-inspired florals made the space feel warm and inviting. The tables looked like they were sprinkled with wildflowers, a burst of color and texture that brought the room to life.
The evening overflowed with love, laughter, and celebration. Erin and her dad’s lively first dance set the tone for the night, followed by heartfelt speeches that captured just how loved Erin and Scott are. The Tequila Donkey made its always-iconic appearance, and Erin’s chic outfit change was the perfect finale, effortless and dance-floor ready. The Diamond Empire Band kept everyone on their feet well into the night. With rain falling outside, a cozy glow inside, and smiles all around, Erin and Scott’s Bishop’s Lodge wedding proved that the best days unfold naturally… full of heart, laughter, and love. Congrats, love birds!
