A Breathtaking Mountain Wedding at Purgatory in Durango | Jaclyn + Jake

Jaclyn and Jake were married at the beautiful Purgatory Ski Resort in Durango, Colorado this summer. The location of their special day was nothing short of magical with its jaw dropping views! It had us feeling like we were in the mountains of Switzerland. Jake grew up in Durango and would frequently visit Purgatory Ski Resort, making it the most special and perfect location for them to get married.  After being forced to postpone their wedding day not once, but twice, everyone was so excited to see this sweet duo finally be able to tie the knot.

Their ceremony had breathtaking panoramic views of the rugged San Juan Mountains that provided a stunning backdrop for the most intimate ceremony. The couple chose to say their vows on top of a mountain, and it was truly magical to capture their love amidst such awe-inspiring natural beauty. Guests rode the ski lifts to attend the ceremony where the crisp mountain air and the serene, elevated setting made their ceremony an unforgettable celebration of their love. A lightening storm was brewing in the distance and the ceremony had to be moved up to avoid the rain and the couple took it in stride. 

After the ceremony, guests joined the couple at their reception where there were beautiful floral arrangements and the cutest hand painted agate escort cards. Everyone enjoyed a beautiful reception, drinks, and danced all night long!
