Meghan and Will connected at a Halloween party, her dressed as a vampire with the most perfectly done makeup (complete with red contacts), and Will dressed up as “The Dude” from the Big Leboswki. Little did Meghan know, this dude would be stealing her heart and become her future husband.
Fast forward to today, their wedding day had us completely floored with all the stunning details. There were so many personal touches from the stitching inside Meghan’s dress with a love note from her “dude,” as well as many family heirlooms that held sentimental value that Meghan wore with her gorgeous Rue De Seine gown. Meghan did her own makeup, being a makeup artist herself, as well as her mom and sisters. The vibe upon entering the room was so relaxed and inviting, as Meghan didn’t want the stress of having a massive bridal party.
The entire inspiration for the wedding theme came from her sisters gown, with stunning embroidery of reds and pinks that they found from a designer in India, Samant Chauhan. You can see the design throughout the décor which graced the reception on a canvas hanging over the fireplace, painted by Meghan, surrounded by candles. As well as on the cake from Maggie’s wedding cakes. The color palette was so rich and vibrant with possibly some of the most beautiful florals we have seen, designed by Meghan’s best friend Bradley. Her bouquet had red ferns and lilies that just popped against her dress and matched the adorable leather jacket her work gals gave to her, that Meghan wore for moody sunset photos.
The flowers at the ceremony graced not one, but two arches at the beginning and end of the aisle. But they didn’t stop there, with installations at cocktail hour and the entrance to the reception, every inch of this wedding had the most beautiful floral designs.
The reception was nonstop entertainment with the amazing Caldwell Entertainment Band out of Lubbock keeping the dance floor full until last call. The Churro Bar outside the ballroom was the perfect second desert option and a surprise cake for Will’s birthday complete with sparkler candles. The couple shared an intimate last dance to end the evening before exiting with a dried floral toss wrapping up the evening perfectly.
As I type this, I know Meghan and Will are enjoying their Dominican Republic honeymoon getaway, but all I can say is thank you for choosing us to capture your day and making us feel like family at your wedding. We know we will never forget this day and hope it was everything you both dreamed it would be.
Congrats again!
