Alex and Harrison’s wedding weekend at Bishop’s Lodge in Santa Fe was nothing short of magical. The festivities kicked off with a gorgeous welcome party, where guests were greeted with warmth, color, and southwestern charm. It was the perfect beginning to a weekend filled with thoughtful design and joyful celebration. Every detail from the welcome party to the final dance felt intentional, intimate, and utterly beautiful.
Their wedding day was full of love and extraordinary moments. From the minute we arrived, we knew we were in for a magical day. Harrison added a fun twist for getting ready. He enjoyed a fresh shave right before the ceremony in a vintage-style barber chair. It was such a cool, classic touch. Rather than a traditional first look, Alex and Harrison exchanged letters, privately reading the words they had written to each other. It was such a tender and intentional choice that spoke volumes about their love.
Alex looked absolutely radiant in her gown adorned with delicate floral details, her veil mirroring the same romantic design. She was glowing during her bridal portraits in the chapel and for her first look with her dad. The tears flowed freely, even from her mom who stood nearby, visibly moved by the moment.
Their ceremony took place on the chapel lawn, framed by stunning mountain views and bathed in golden New Mexico light. Guests were given parasols to shield from the sun, and the floral arrangements lining the wall were placed so thoughtfully they looked like part of the landscape.
Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a cocktail hour that was equal parts stylish and welcoming. A bar was set up and was surrounded by lounge tables with tiny lamps and small floral centerpieces, and scalloped barstools. The tequila donkey stole the show (and a few hearts), and the escort card display was a work of art on its own. It was set against a custom watercolor floral backdrop that matched the day’s aesthetic perfectly, and could also been seen on the custom dance floor.
The reception tent was a dreamscape and transformed Bishop’s Lodge into a scene straight from a Pinterest dream. Bistro lights twinkled overhead, strung across the sailcloth tent and wound around poles covered in greenery. The tables were layered with stunning florals and elegant place settings, each napkin embroidered with the couple’s last name initial. The head table was especially unique with round tables arranged in a flowing, caterpillar formation that made the space feel dynamic and intimate. The dance floor carried through the watercolor floral theme, and florals lined the stage where the band played, tying everything together flawlessly.
Alex and Harrison were welcomed into the tent through grand wooden doors, and everyone erupted in cheers. You could feel how deeply loved they are. Their first dances were sweet and heartfelt, and then came the cakes… yes, plural! One matched the romantic garden theme of their wedding, while the other was a playful tribute to their beloved pups back home. Designed to resemble a traditional New Mexican adobe home, it featured their dogs and charming Southwestern details.
When the after party began, everything transformed once again. Alex and Harrison changed into fun party outfits, and the ballroom turned into a disco dream: spiky disco balls, giant silver spheres, and streamers everywhere you looked. The DJ kept the energy high while guests munched on late-night fries and danced the night away in custom trucker hats passed out by the couple.
Alex and Harrison’s Bishop’s Lodge wedding was a true reflection of the elegance, love, and the community surrounding them. It was a weekend no one will forget.
