A Magical Engagement at Tamaya | Katie + Mason

We met with Katie and Mason at Tamaya for the most magical engagement session this past summer. It was the perfect evening full of love, breathtaking views of the Sandia Mountains and New Mexican landscapes, and it ended with the most gorgeous New Mexico sunset!

Katie and Mason met each other through mutual friends. Their friends decided to invite Katie and Mason over to celebrate one of their birthdays, and everyone enjoyed sipping coffee together while singing The Best of the Early 2000’s on the Chicago River during a tornado warning. Thanks to their matchmakers, Katie and Mason hit it off and soon became inseparable!

Mason planned an elaborate proposal weekend for Katie. He had multiple celebrations lined up in Chicago to celebrate their engagement. Mason told Katie he made reservations at a restaurant that was nearly impossible to get seated at and said they couldn’t be late. Katie tends to run late, so he had to be sure to think of the perfect excuse to get her out the door quickly. Mason and Katie briskly headed to the Chicago Lakefront where Mason popped the question. Mason had his best friend from high school set up and take photos of their engagement from afar. Katie happily said “yes”, and Katie and Mason called their families and friends to delight them with the good news. Katie gave Mason his engagement band and the two of them headed to their actual dinner reservation where they enjoyed an intimate meal together. The next morning, Katie and Mason had brunch at one of their favorite neighborhood spots, where Mason arranged to have all of their close friends meet them there as a surprise.

Katie and Mason are getting married at the beautiful Los Poblanos next year in June! We cannot wait for their beautiful and intimate day!
