Leslie and William didn’t meet until later on, however their paths crossed numerous times throughout their lives. They grew up in the same suburb of Dallas, same neighborhood, they went to the same elementary and middle school, and even went to the same church! Their moms were in PTA together, and their brothers knew each other. With all that being said, Leslie and William somehow never met! When they finally did meet, they immediately clicked and the rest was history. Leslie and William’s wedding at La Posada de Santa Fe was a day filled with heartwarming moments and thoughtful details that made their celebration uniquely theirs, like incorporating their cute dog, Layla, into their entire day! Their wedding was a dream from start to finish!
The start of Leslie’s afternoon was a blend of joy and anticipation! She had an emotional first look with her bridesmaids and her beloved flower girl dog, Layla, and no one could contain their excitement when they saw her for the first time. Her first look with her dad was a tender moment that left not a dry eye. Leslie had a personalized handkerchief embroidered for her dad to wear on her wedding day, and it definitely came in handy during their emotional first look.
Her first look with William was incredibly intimate, a quiet exchange that captured the deep bond they share. The quiet exchange didn’t last long, though. Their videographer, Brad, was so deeply moved and focused on capturing their intimate moment that he fell into the moat. After checking on Brad, Leslie and William were able to ease their wedding day jitters by sharing a good laugh together!
As guests began to be seated, they were serenaded by The Empire Strings Quartet who set the tone for the ceremony with their harmonious music. The aisle was clean and elegant with candles lining it while florals adorning the chairs. Their sweet flower girl, Layla, walked down the aisle, delighting guests with her presence. Leslie and William had a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their family and friends, and said ” I do!” in between stunning pillars of dahlias and peach roses at the altar.
After their ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks and a live painting by Allison Jones Hunt Art! In a beautiful tribute to Leslie and William’s oasis, Allison carefully painted the view from Leslie’s parents’ backyard, seamlessly weaving Layla into the clouds, a detail that drew admiration from all. The reception was a beautiful balance of simplicity and elegance. The florals were whimsical and soft, perfectly complementing the natural beauty of La Posada de Santa Fe. The décor, details, and atmosphere radiated a sense of understated elegance. Listening to their family and friends’ speeches made us realize how special and loved Leslie and William are!
As the night progressed, Leslie surprised everyone by transforming her wedding dress into a stunning party dress, a symbol of the shift from the formality of the ceremony to the joyful celebration. Everyone enjoyed wedding cake by Crumb Girl Sweets that was almost too pretty to eat with the beautiful pressed flowers! The dance floor was alive, and the energy didn’t dip for a moment as everyone danced the night away, making memories that will last a lifetime.
Leslie and William’s wedding was a true reflection of their love story—personal, sweet, and filled with love from start to finish. It was such an honor being able to capture their love and memories from the day. Congratulations, to the sweetest couple!
