On the top of a cliff outside of Santa Fe sits Blame Her Ranch, a truly unique rustic yet elegant wedding venue. Katie and Jack choose this beautiful Ranch for their summer wedding and it was the perfect fit. Katie’s handmaid veil was the inspiration for most of the details she chose for her special day, and the venue had just had all their wildflowers bloom, tying everything together perfectly. From the wedding invitations, to her nails, to the cake, to Jack’s tie, everything was wildflowers! We were obsessed!
Katie and Jack incorporated a lot of personal details into their wedding, and their friends and family came together to make it happen. Katie’s best friend hand embroidered all of the wildflowers into Katie’s veil (and even officiated their wedding!); a close family friend designed and created their stunning cake with dried flowers (it was delicious!); and Katie and her girls assembled the flowers themselves, thanks to some help from Flower Moxie. Even their dog Juno was an integral part of their wedding! During the ceremony, instead of the stuffy “speak now or forever hold your peace,” line uttered at weddings back in the day, Katie’s officiant asked everyone to say “we do!” in agreeance that this couple was the perfect match. And Juno let out a bark confirming she strongly agreed!
We had so much fun photographing this special day! Katie and Jack truly were a delight to work with and we wish these two love birds only the best in the years ahead!
