Lauren and Andrew made a last minute wedding planning trip to Albuquerque and we moved everything around to make sure that we could squeeze in an engagement session while they were here.
Lauren is originally from New Mexico but moved to Philadelphia for college to be a dancer and then moved to New York City once graduating. While there she met Andrew online and the two hit it off!
Andrew proposed on their balcony in Brooklyn one evening and the two started the wedding planning! Lauren knew she wanted to get married back home in New Mexico, where she and her family are from. Since it was literally on the other side of the country, her mom started helping out! And it’s a good thing, too! Lauren’s mom suggested Los Poblanos, and since Lauren and Andrew trusted her opinion so much, they booked the venue without even seeing it in person first.
As one of our favorite venues, we gotta say, “Way to go, mom!”
The beautiful city couple wanted to take their photos in our lovely downtown Albuquerque. We took them around to see some of our unique architecture and fun public art and murals. Their adorable pup Zia, tagged along with us as we explored the urban streets. Let me tell you, that little pup has so much to say, and she demands to be heard!
Towards the end of the session we drove to an overlook to get some photos with Albuquerque’s signature Sandia Mountains. The breathtaking view of our mountains and city was the perfect way to wrap up the session. We’re so glad they were able to make it out before their big day! We loved meeting you Lauren and Andrew, and we’re excited for your wedding!
