Tiffany and Nathan met while in undergrad at the University of Pennsylvania. She was a senior and he was a freshman and one day he told his friends, “I am going to ask this beautiful girl to the winter formal.” They laughed at him for his bravery, a freshman asking out a senior? But to their surprise she said yes. Afterwards they kept finding reasons to spend time together.
Fast forward to the winter of 2017, snow covered the ground and Nathan took Tiffany to Fairmount Park to take pictures of the beautiful evening. Little did she know he was about to get down on one knee and ask for her hand.
Tiffany and Nathan had one of the most unique weddings we have ever captured. Their wedding started early in the day and ended with an exit at 7pm. The couple wanted to end their evening with sunset photos so the whole timeline was created around this idea.
Tiffany also is half Vietnamese so she incorporated this part of herself into the wedding in very special ways. She wore 2 weddings dresses, a beautiful traditional white one as well as a vibrant red Vietnamese dress. Her bridesmaids were also in Vietnamese attire. There were so many special touches throughout the day from the bride’s handmaid garter belt, fashioned from her Mother in Laws wedding gown to their stunning velvet vow books that they wrote their love to one another and read from during the ceremony.
They ended their reception with a private dance with just the two of them while guest lined up outside to bid the couple adieu with a flower arch exit. I couldn’t believe that Tiffany and Nathan were ending their day with us on a cliff overlooking the city as the sun set in the distance. It was so meaningful to us that this sweet duo cared so much about their photos! Our relationship with them has truly become a special one since they contacted me about capturing their day back in 2017. Congrats again Tiffany and Nathan!
