Bre + Tyrell | Colorful Old Town Albuquerque Engagement

Bre and Tyrell began dating in high school, and, unlike most relationships forged in youth, they were able to stay together beyond graduation, falling more and more in love as they approached their next milestone: their engagement. Tyrell, aware of his sweetheart’s fondness for the color black and her passion for Halloween, proposed to Bre with a dazzling black sapphire. This definitely excited us as well, as we absolutely love when couples incorporate alternative stones! The pair lives in Wyoming with their two fur-babies: one dog and one cat, the perfect balance! Both Bre and Tyrell have a vast appreciation for nature, and their favorite activities are hiking, camping, or just anything outdoors! While this out-of-state couple was far from home, Bre has family in Albuquerque, and she chose the stunning Old Town to be the location of their engagement pictures due to her adoration of the countless fun colors and myriad of mixed textures. Seeing as Old Town is such a cute area with its own air of charisma, we were ecstatic for their shoot!

While all of our Maura Jane clients are hands down the sweetest and– dare we say– best couples, (how do we get so lucky?!) we reveled in Bre and Tyrell’s laid back personalities and easygoing charm. They effortlessly posed wherever they were instructed: twirling in the courtyard of the San Felipe de Neri Church, strolling down the sidewalks, embracing in a magnificently glowy garden, and snuggling in front of New Mexico’s signature turquoise doors. They wore the perfect outfits for their choice of location, as it resulted in the most vibrant and breathtakingly colorful photos that we are honestly still gushing over.

We love having such adorable couples, and Bre and Tyrell definitely did not disappoint! We know that their October wedding will be just as magical as they were, and we are thrilled to be able to capture it! Until then, scroll down to see some of our favorites from this session:
