Laura + Eric | Noah’s Albuquerque Wedding | New Mexico Wedding Photographers

Laura and Eric met through mutual friends while attending UNM. They both told their family, this is the person I know I am meant to be with. One chilly day in December, Laura had just finished another successful semester at pharmacy school and Eric told her he made dinner reservations at Los Poblanos to celebrate. Once there, Eric said they had to go to the steps in front of the large house to meet a tour group to go on a Christmas tree tour. Laura said she was less than thrilled, as she had pretty tall stilettos on and hadn’t planned to be walking through fields. Little did she know Eric has secretly planned for her family and friends to join them along with their sweet pup Everest for a proposal. She was completely shocked and of course said Yes!

For their big day, we couldn’t get over the amount of love and emotion that was poured into each aspect of the wedding. Laura gathered wedding photos of her parents and even her great great grandparents and displayed them outside of the reception. She even managed to find photos of each of them cutting their wedding cake to place next to Eric and her cake, made by her sister. Before the wedding began, Eric and Laura exchanged gifts, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room when Laura unwrapped a beautiful locket with a photo of her grandfather who had recently passed. During bridal party pictures, we were joined by their lovable golden retriever, Everest, as it wouldn’t have been right to not include him as the “best dog” in the bridal party since he was there for the proposal and the engagement pictures.

During the reception, Laura + Eric’s siblings gave the most heartfelt speeches as we watched guests roar with laughter and wipe away tears while they listened. Sarah and I almost forgot to take pictures as we were so wrapped up in the emotion, listening to stories about the sweet couple. Almost. 🙂
