It’s no secret that Santa Fe has an abundance of gorgeous wedding venues. One of our absolute favorites, though, is unquestionably La Posada Resort and Spa. With it’s beautiful grounds, fountains, and adobe buildings, it boasts that traditional Southwestern charm. “La Posada” is Spanish for “resting place,” which is appropriate due to its relaxing atmosphere. It might even be wise to stay the night before your wedding and utilize their spa to really relax before your big day. Plus, their suites are perfect to get ready in… which leads us to one of the many reasons we adore La Posada!

.: The Suites :.

Spacious with a view of their lush lawns, their suites are perfect for getting ready photos. The rooms themselves have large windows that allow for gorgeous natural lighting, meaning that we typically don’t have to use flash, and the resulting images look much more flattering and organic. Furthermore, there’s an outside patio area blocked off by half walls, so you can step outside with your bridal party for shots in your PJs without having to worry about nosy neighbors peeking in.

If you simply wander the grounds of La Posada, you’ll see exactly what we mean when we say that everywhere you go is picturesque. Their upkeep is immaculate, so there’s plenty of greenery and stunning backdrops to stick our couples and bridal parties in front of. Plus, they have an abundance of trees, which is always a welcome site for us east coast-ers here in the desert!

.: Ceremonies :.

Santa Fe is overflowing with sublime churches and chapels, but if you aren’t religious, or if you would just prefer an outdoor ceremony, then La Posada has you covered! You can choose between the spacious lawn or the restaurant patio. Either way, it’s sure to look incredible!

.: Receptions :.

Once again, the venue offers a variety of areas where one can host their wedding reception. From the Salon that holds an intimate party of 40 guests, to the Montana A+B room that can hold 300, they have a range that encompasses every couple’s needs! Our favorite receptions have been held in tents on the lawn, however, and we’ll show you why:

Plus, they have an awesome ballroom so your guests can dance the night away or you can have your reception indoors if you choose!
