Macon and Kelly met one night at a bonfire with friends. They were playing drinking games and having a great time, and, well, Macon had a little bit too much to drink. Kelly kept asking and checking to see if he was okay, so that night ended up blossoming into a beautiful friendship. After several years, Kelly and Macon realized they liked each other as more than friends and began dating. Macon would convince Kelly to take study breaks while she was in school to become a nurse, and they would go on little dates for cheesecake and whiskey.
Further into their relationship, they went on a date to Santiago’s at the tram. After a romantic sunset at the top of the mountains, Kelly and Macon went to the base for dinner. Macon mentioned leaving something in the truck, so he told her to come with him to get it. She didn’t want to go and protested before eventually giving in and stomping out towards the truck. He spun her around and kissed her, telling her to not be so stubborn as he got down on one knee and asked for her hand. She of course said yes!
For their big day they planned a beautiful country wedding at a family friend’s farm. Complete with perfect weather and abounding sunflowers, the couple said “I do” under a huge cottonwood tree while friends and family looked on. For their grand entrance, Kelly and Macon opted for a sparkler entrance in lieu of an exit, and we think this was the BEST way to get the party started.
Congrats, Kelly and Macon, we are so happy for you!
