Kassy + Christian | A Romantic Engagement in Cedar Crest | Albuquerque Wedding Photographers

We met with Kassy and Christian back in September for their engagement session… and these two were the absolute cutest! Once we had the initial awkward jitters— that all couples inevitably experience from being in front of a camera when you aren’t used it— out the way, Kassy and Christian were incredibly giggly and affectionate, which made for the most adorable poses!

This pair met while they were going to school at NMSU. They had mutual friends through his fraternity, which meant their circles had been overlapping for about two years prior to them dating. One of her best friends, who knew Kassy had a crush on Christian, just directly asked him if he would be interested in her, and when he said yes, she told him that Kassy would definitely not mind if he asked her out… so he did!

After four years of dating, Christian knew it was time to ask Kassy for her hand. She had always told him she wanted to finish pharmacy school first, (and she did!) so he was ready to pop the question. He also knew that it was one of her dreams to go to NYC during Christmas time… so he planned a trip during the beginning of December for when they do the lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. On one of their last days there, they went ice skating at the Rockefeller Center, and there happened to be a photo booth right in front of the Christmas tree. He suggested they should take a picture there, and as soon as the photographer counted down from three, he dropped on one knee and proposed. Kassy said it was “like a Hallmark movie,” and we couldn’t agree more!
