Karissa and Jason | Spring Wedding at Blame Her Ranch

Karissa and Jason started planning their wedding back in 2018, when we did their engagement photos… and shortly after found out some news: it would no longer be just the two of them. Her best friend remembers her making the comment, “I can’t gain even five pounds, or I won’t be able to fit into my dress.” Soon after that, Karissa found out she was pregnant. Grayson, their precious son, was a huge part of the pair’s wedding day, and it was beautiful to see not only how much Karissa and Jason adored him, but the rest of their extended family as well. He also thought it was fun to play in Karissa’s wedding dress, which meant that everyone was absolutely dying from cuteness overload!

To provide a little backstory, Karissa and Jason met and became friends in middle school, but they didn’t start dating until their Junior year of high school. After they graduated, she went to college and he began his career, and five years down the road from that, a ring was tied to the collar of one of their dogs with a note. The note read “Will you marry my dad?” and because no one of sound mind could say no to a dog… she said “yes!”

We were so grateful to be the photography team chosen to capture this day. Not only were the details stunning and everything thoroughly planned out and gorgeous from start to finish, but the couple and their families were just such a delight to be around, let alone work with! Karissa was beyond sweet, and Jason had us cracking up the entire time with his sound effects and comments whenever we’d go to take couple’s photos! Plus, both sides of their families made us feel so incredibly welcome and at home.

This was also our first wedding at Blame Her Ranch, (though we have had an engagement session there, which you can view here), and we couldn’t have been more blown away! From the amazing luxury cabin to the overlook where they set up the ceremony, to the reception grounds, view from the pool, and spot to hit golf balls over the cliff… this venue was absolutely breath-taking!
