Summertime Prairie Star Wedding | Jenny + Tom | Albuquerque Wedding Photographers

Jenny and Tommy met through Tom’s cousin while he was serving at a restaurant with Jenny. A little later, Tommy happened to post a picture of a pizza place he was trying, and shortly after commenting on the picture, they began dating. As a result, pizza became “their thing.”

When Tom went to propose, he had a ton of ideas for potential ways to do it. However, with COVID in full swing, he had to get creative. Something the couple loves together is the Chainsmokers, with Jenny quoting that they’ve seen them at least four times. So on the night he proposed, he set up a fire pit in their backyard, poured her a glass of wine and asked her to dance to their favorite Chainsmokers’ song. He then asked her if she could do him a favor, to which she said yes… and he asked if she’d spend the rest of her life with him! *Swoon!* It made Jenny tear up uncontrollably, because even though it wasn’t something extravagant like he’d originally intended, she “had never felt more loved than in that moment.” (We’re not crying, it’s just allergies, okay?!)

Like all of our Corona-era brides, planning at wedding was heartbreaking and frustrating— to say the least. After changing plans so many times, Jenny was ready to call it quits on her dream wedding and simply pay the courthouse a visit, but luckily her mom wasn’t about to let that happen, and she in turn found a venue for the couple!

We’re so happy that, in the end, this couple was able to have it exactly how they wanted… even if it wasn’t even close to their first try! We are so thankful for their upbeat nature and steadfast positivity, and we wish them years of happiness!
