Cristina and Eric met through the website Plenty of Fish. However, they never moved forward past the talking stage, and it wasn’t until they found each other again on another dating app that they reconnected. As soon as they matched, Eric asked, “Remember me?” And the rest is history! Fast forward a few years, and Eric decided to propose by using their fur baby, a Shih Tzu named Abby. His original plan was to pop the question during a trip they had planned to France… which was, in the style of 2020, cancelled due to COVID. So, after a long walk they had taken with their dogs, Eric decided that the moment had come, and he put a sign around Abby’s neck saying, “Will your marry my dad?” But the adorable doggo was too pooped after their exercise and plopped down instead of walking to Cristina like he’d intended, but he didn’t let that stop him! Carrying Abby to his future fiancée, Cristina saw the sign and immediately said “Yes!”
We were so happy for this couple’s big day, as their plans had changed and changed and changed due to the pandemic, but with everything finally opening again, they were able to do it up exactly as they’d wanted! Their guest list grew as more family and friends were able to attend, and this was the first large, post-pandemic celebration the couple themselves have been able to go to… and we think this was a pretty good first!
Couple’s portraits with these two were an absolute dream, as the weather and Tamaya’s gorgeous grounds were positively perfect! Rain threatened the day but never came, so the overcast skies ensured that we could shoot basically anywhere. While it was pretty windy, it tousled Cristina’s hair beautifully, and this sweet pair was completely unfazed. They were so affectionate and giggly, we barely even had to pose them, and we couldn’t have asked for a more stunning sunset!
Congratulations, Cristina and Eric, and know that we wish you a lifetime of joy and love!
