Alex moved to New Mexico from New York five years ago for a job with the fire department, while Emily grew up here. What did they have in common? An internet dating profile! It was immediate sparks. When he began to plan his proposal, he tried several times, but was blocked at every turn since they kept having ring fabrication issues. Eventually, he had it all figured out and was ready to go; however, New Mexico’s unpredictable weather decided to have some fun, and he was unable to do it on a hike like he wanted… so he decided the comfort of their own home was the best place to do it!
The pair lives with their two gorgeous Vizlas, Ava and their newest addition to the family: Kya. We always encourage couples to bring their dogs to their photoshoots, and we’re so glad Alex and Emily did! The office was dying over their cuteness as we edited their images!
We also loved Emily’s nod to her heritage with her second outfit, which was her Vietnamese engagement dress. She’ll be wearing a Vietnamese outfit on their wedding day as well, and we can’t wait to see it!
This session came out so glowy and sublime, we couldn’t be more thrilled with it! The foothills, the sunset-bathed mountains, the dogs… Yes, yes, and yes! Keep scrolling to see some of our favorites:
